Early Work In Progress of Lara Croft from the new Tomb Raider game. Lots to do yet but thought I would share what I've done so far :D
I had intended to wait until the game was released before trying to sculpt this but as it keeps being put back I couldn't wait any longer so I'm using the concept art and trailers as reference.

The sculpt is 1:3 scale (approx 23 inches tall) and I'm using monster clay (never used it before and so far I like it!)

The clay I'm using for this one is called 'Monster Clay'. It comes in a 5lb containter. So far I've used approx one and a quarter containers.

Wow, how beautiful so far! Will the hair be sculpted from clay too? How do you get it to sick?

Thank you.
Yes the hair will be clay too. When heated up the clay becomes soft and blends well with itself, when it's cools down it is hard so can be positioned/sculpted quite easily.

You know what I REALLY find interesting about this piece? Is that you have a detailed side, and a non-detailed side. I want to sculpt a life size Pyramid Head for my own Silent Hill geek-dom. But this is just too cool. I really love how smooth this looks! The line creases are excellent! I can't wait to see all the little detail!
